About Us

Nurture Spa Village

One of the pioneers in the Philippine spa industry, Nurture Spa (now renamed Nurture Spa Village) Tagaytay is a Department of Tourism accredited destination spa established in 2002. Nurture Spa Viillage was recently named one of the 28 Most Relaxing Spas in Asia by CNN Go (June 2010) and one of the Top Seven Spas of the Philippines by Asia Spa Magazine (May-June 2010 issue) , a Hongkong based luxury magazine.

Located deep amidst coffee orchards, Nurture Spa offers a distinctive brand of “Ecotherapy” or healing by and through nature. Rooms overlook lush gardens and/or a tropical forest which generously showcase a natural symphony of birds singing, beautiful butterflies weaving in and out of flower beds, bright sunlight bathing the gardens and cool, fog-draped evenings gently settling in the nightfall.

Guided by the SENSES* model of Wellness: S= stress management; E= education ; N= nutrition; S= Social Interaction; E = exercise; S = spirituality (*as authored by Dr. Marc Cohen), Nurture has expanded to meet the demands of the international market and become an active player in medical and wellness tourism in the country,

Nurture Spa Village today offers a new range of facilities and services to its guests: an enhanced spa menu featuring international facial and spa brands BIODROGA and ALGOTHERM, expanded wellness services to include detoxification, weight reduction, anti-ageing and chronic disease management, expanded food and beverage services, a more extensive garden, an events pavilion, a business center, free WIFI connection, additional deluxe rooms, dormitory rooms for groups, a swimming pool, a butterfly haven, a herb garden and a reflexology path.

Nurture Spa Village partnered with experts to enhance its services: Tanglad Bistro for delicious cuisine (vegetarian and nonvegetarian), Institute of Natural Healing under Dr. Sam Dizon for its alternative and complimentary medicine programs, Healthway Medical for its Executive Check up Programs, Brahma Kumaris for meditation and lifestyle counseling and Tagaytay Hospital and Medical Center for its medical, laboratory and emergency services requirements.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

QUALITY. Nurture Spa is among the few spas in the Philippines which has at least 6 management and staff who are internationally certified by CIBTAC, UK. Therapists are trained for a minimum of 2 months to the highest standards by internationally licensed trainers. Updates and refresher training are provided by its sister company, Spa Professionals International Development Center- the only internationally accredited spa school in the Philippines. Its Amu’in massage oils and room amenities are blended fresh by Nurture Spa’s sister company, award winning Spa Essentials and are made only of the finest quality therapeutic essential oils sourced from the best suppliers.

PROUDLY FILIPINO. Nurture Spa pioneered in introducing a distinctly Filipino-branded spa menu with favorites like its signature massage “Aruga” and its popular “Magsing-irog massage”, its unique “Nilaib” massage -a Filipino version of the Hot Stone Massage, its staff uniforms and linens made of “Abel” or hand-woven Ilocano fabric and its “Ulogs” – century old huts from Banaue converted into cozy and comfortable accommodations. Its unique and distinct traditional spa rituals, Filipino paintings, architecture and décor combine to give you a glimpse of the Filipino soul, one that immerses you in a unique Filipino cultural healing and wellness experience.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Nurture Spa hires its therapists and staff primarily from the local communities. All Nurture Spa staff are taught how to adapt a wellness lifestyle in monthly meetings in order to lead healthier and happier lives. Outreach programs are sponsored by Nurture to introduce concepts of wellness and sustainability to the neighboring barangays. Whenever possible, Nurture Spa uses products which support local communities like massage beds which are made by out of school youth, capiz décor made by depressed communities and Amuin Massage Oils sales of which are used to support essential-oil producing communities.

SUSTAINABILITY. Nurture Spa also embraces environmental protection as a philosophy and strives to become an eco-friendly establishment.
